Four times a year, we are honored to graduate students that have committed to redefining their career by completing our challenging, professional FullStack JavaScript program. As the only boot camp in Portland training folks to enter tech at mid entry level roles in six months, students are required to fully commit during this time. They put in a lot of grit and determination, and we’re very happy to introduce you to the grads who crossed the finish line this week.

Wednesday, we graduated 18 incredible developers that represent 7 women and 11 men as well as the Latinx and LBGTQ+ community. Previous careers they’ve had collectively include: actor, teacher overseas, microbiologist, kayak instructor, bike mechanic, certified nursing assistant, florist, single mom, glass blower and more. One has never gone to school a day in their life, not even kindergarten. This person also excelled in the program. They are all bright, curious and committed developers. They will also make great team members having really honed in on and learned the value of communication and teamwork through their experience here.

Just last week, they finished their final projects which was to build a FullStack JavaScript App harnessing the MERN stack in a one week sprint with a team. You can see all of the deployed and Github sites here, and see how incredible the outcomes were. Some went above and beyond harnessing new technologies they didn’t learn in our program, and they did an incredible job.

They are now ready to enter the tech community and contribute to the great companies in our city. Our grads traditionally get hired as software developers or engineers, and go on to rewarding careers. If you have any questions, or want to learn more about our graduates, email our Career Services Director, Shannon Rasimas.

If you’d like to learn more about our program and enroll in an upcoming cohort, reach out to our School Director, Megan Nelson, or drop into our space any Thursday at 12:30PM for an Open House.
We also have an info session on October 17th you can sign up for here. Come here from our grads why they took our program and what they're doing now. There’s space left in our Winter program! Contact us today!

Congrats to our most recent grads! The future is bright, and we look forward to following each and every one of your careers!
